13+01+08 stale popcorn returns with screenings of the five 'brave new films' dvds at mgtvle starting on thursday feb 14th and each thursday there after + the first show of 2008 looks to be a cracker with hee haw, ojcs, pay colour and death mattel at la campana on wed 16th jan + things in the pipeline include a crux/pazahora split cd and an accompanying tour of south east asia + vialka may return in may + the night crash 12" will finally be launched on jan 19th in brisbane and the scul hazzards 7" will be out in time for their tour in feb + both essential releases!
04+03+08 i'm messing around with the site including the australasia diy tour circuit forum. there might be a few funny looking pages from time to time but functionality should all be ok. let me know if there's any problems! i've gotten more involved with wednesday nights at la campana (as well as some monthly sunday nights due to start later this month) and also helping out with an upcoming tour (more news soon) as well as, yet again, having crazy plans for various japanese bands to get here next year. stay tuned.
10+04+08 the australasia diy tour circuit has been upgraded. not quite as pretty as it used to be but a lot more functional from an admin perspective now.. there will be a comic book release on tenzenmen! from the hard ons ray ahn! this should happen fairly soon (but you know what it's like dealing with musicians!). ampere will play dirty shirlows in june, which will be just after i leave for another trip to china (also via malaysia and singapore). i hope to pick up some cool new cds to distro when i get back.
14+07+08 i came back from china and south east asia with a slew of new stock. so much that i haven't had time to sort thru it all yet. the crux/pazahora cd is out now! a bunch of people were busy glueing them altogether whilst i was in KL. i finally got to hear the recording too and it's great. crux got described as wagnerian by a new fan in malaysia. pazahora slayed at their shows and this recording lives up to that ferocity. should have more news about new releases soon.
28+08+08 the maybe mars series of monthly releases from chinese underground bands gets under way in this olympic month with demerit's bastards of the nation cd. every month we'll be bringing you the latest and most exciting releases from china and available in all good record shops. look out for releases from carsick cars, pk-14 and many more! also all the new stock i brought back from asia is in the distro section now so check it out + it's all cheap!
