Based in Brisbane, Australia, Nikko was founded in 2005 by Ryan Potter (vocals, guitar and lyrics), Jackson Briggs (guitar), Sam Whiting (bass) and Blair Westbrook (drums). In 2008, Daniel Kassulke joined the band on keys.
Nikko’s music has received airplay on Triple J national FM radio, Melbourne’s 3RRR and PBS, Sydney’s 2ser and FBi (on rotation), as well as regular play on Brisbane’s 4ZZZFM (No. 1 on their Top 10 throughout June, 2010). Nikko have developed a strong presence within the Brisbane music scene as well as further afield, having toured the Australian east coast multiple times.
