hira
hira

just finished a fantastic day recording local band hira hira (featuring
guys from call the medic, call the nurse!! very much robot and yeah
bears. (to be mixed by dave hammer) what an awesome day! wicked band,
cool
guys. can’t wait to see these guys live. squee the cat has taken
quite a
shine to these guys. i think she has a cat crush (she always liked the
geeky yet brutal ones, hehe), she’s a pretty good judge of character.
we
recorded to 2"analog tape! (last used on bridezilla 7" and
baltic
(featuring members of nintendo police) yes, yes we did! no computer
all
day. sounds fantastic! you gotta experience the sound for yourselves,
its
just stunning.(special thanks to colin abrahams, our technical genius,
without whom, we would come to a grinding halt, sorry to keep you up
all
night!) the band all performed in our large, beautiful, live room with
their amps scattered thru the various iso booths. the band ruled and
brought some fantastic sounds to the plate. iwont give away their super
cool gear, lotsa fucked up pedals, you'll have to go see them live to
figure that out. special thanks to dave hammer for bringing the thunder
as
well as all the cool bands. (bands, check him out! hope you feel better
soon.) oozing in geeky, slightly mathy, noisy sex, hira hira are possibly
my new favourite band.
